Jenny Carrillo is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Health Administration at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
Jenny Carrillo, PhD, is inspired by innovative technologies that improve global health and work in healthcare technology to achieve health equity, removing barriers contributing to health disparities. Dr. Carrillo recently joined PeerWell, where she is the Vice President of Growth, a company whose vision is to: "eliminate the burden on people struggling with pain and immobility." Prior to that, Dr. Carrillo served as the Vice President of Health Plan Solutions at Amwell, which had a successful IPO. In her role, she helped organizations define their telehealth strategy, expand access to care, and leverage their assets to achieve measurable objectives. Trained as a Clinical Psychologist, Jenny has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare, spanning from academia to executive roles in strategy, sales, marketing, external affairs, and cross-functional integration. She has contributed to publications and panels, speaking extensively about achieving health equity, and served on various boards. Jenny's distinctions include an NIH National Research Service Award, Yale 100 Delegation to China, and Fellow of the Connecticut Health Foundation. Jenny received her Ph.D. from Yale University and was a consultant with McKinsey & Co.
