Jesse Margolis is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Service of NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. He is also Co-Founder of and Managing Partner at MarGrady Research, where he focuses on projects related to performance management, school finance, and policy analysis for school districts and foundations. Prior to founding MarGrady Research, Jesse was a Postdoctoral Fellow at New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, where he researched education policy and taught statistics and econometrics. Previously, he was an analyst and manager at the New York City Department of Education and a consultant at The Parthenon Group. Jesse also spent two years working with school districts in Santiago, Chile, and received a Fulbright Scholarship to spend a year studying the public schools in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He has a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from Harvard University, a master’s degree in economics from New York University, and a PhD in economics from the City University of New York.
