Dr. Phillip E. Jackson, FACHE is a Senior Lecturer of Health Administration at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. He serves as Vice President and Chief Executive Officer for Erlanger East and North Hospitals in Chattanooga, TN. He is board certified in healthcare management and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Phil joined Erlanger Health System located in Chattanooga, TN in September 2014 after serving two years as Regional Operations Executive for Davita Healthcare Partners in Western Tennessee overseeing 21 outpatient dialysis centers. Prior to Davita, he was Associate Professor and Chair of the Health Care Management Degree Program at Baptist College of Health Sciences in Memphis, Tennessee. A retired senior military officer, Jackson served 30 years in a variety of duty assignments to include naval warships, the U. S. Marine Corps, overseas, Department of Defense corporate headquarters, and military hospitals. Dr. Jackson has over 15 years of teaching experience both online and in the traditional classroom setting. His areas of healthcare teaching experience include finance, accounting, strategy, leadership, human resources management, and policy.
Dr. Jackson holds a Doctorate of Strategic Leadership from Regent University in Virginia. He also holds a MSM in Finance from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California and a BBA from National University in San Diego, California.
