Sapna Swaroop is a Lecturer at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
Sapna Swaroop brings together academic expertise on the social determinants of health and practical experience in healthcare payment and delivery to improve health for all. Currently, she is the Vice President, Value Based Care at Livongo, where she develops payment models that support improved health and lower costs for an industry-leading digital health company. She has worked at the intersection of strategy and analytics across government, payer, and start-up organizations, including Bright Health, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, and the Minnesota Department of Health, where she has focused on developing and measuring health improvement, affordability, and quality initiatives. Sapna holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology from the University of Chicago and earned a PhD in Sociology from the University of Michigan.
