Mariana de Santibañes is a doctoral candidate in Public Policy at Wagner. Her research interests are in the intersections of gender, social, labor, and family policy. Mariana's dissertation studies the processes by which welfare states recognize, assume, and promote social co-responsibility in caregiving, as well as the conditions that allow the emergence of transformative care policies in particular, and gender equality policies in general. Other recent research examined the effects of COVID-19 lockdown on family dynamics and women's standard of living in Argentina. She holds a Licenciatura in Philosophy from the University of Buenos Aires, and a Masters in Public Administration from NYU. Prior to joining Wagner, she worked as an Evaluation and Impact Manager at Grameen PrimaCare.
