I'm registered for a Wagner course. Can I take it Pass/Fail?
At CAS, any elective course may be graded pass/fail. Students are limited to one pass/fail course every semester, which is a maximum of 32 credits over four years. In practice, it is inadvisable to take too many pass/fail courses.

How long will it take to complete my Global EMPA degree?
The degree must be completed in one year (September - September). Students complete degree requirements in August with an official graduation date in September.
I am a potential client. If my organization applies for a Capstone Team, are we certain to get one?
We receive more proposals than we have student teams. As a result, there is no guarantee that a proposal will be chosen by a student team. However, if your project is not chosen, you will be given the opportunity to convert the project into an internship opportunity for Wagner students.
Where can I find information about new Wagner faculty?
Will my employer or another organization support my education costs for the Global EMPA Program?
While many prospective applicants are self-funded, some students receive some form of full or partial financial sponsorship from their employers or from government programs that fund graduate study in public administration.
Can full-time students work in the first semester?
Wagner does not recommend that full-time students work in their first semester. Rather, it is advisable to focus on adapting to the new setting of graduate school; also, core courses are a significant time commitment, requiring additional recitation/lab sections in addition to coursework.

Students can complete the EMPA for Public Service Leaders in less than one year.
