Google Fellowship Awarded to NYU Wagner Professor
Adjunct Assistant Professor of Planning Sarah M. Kaufman has been awarded a fellowship by Google to attend the Personal Democracy Forum. In all, the travel fellowships were given to 15 leading women in civic technology.
Professor Kaufman is Digital Manager at NYU Wagner's Rudin Center for Transportation, where she researches, advocates for and educates about cutting-edge technologies in transportation. Her work focuses on crowdsourcing, open data and social media in urban transportation systems. In addition, she manages the Rudin Center's web presence at NYURudinCenter.com and created the popular Short Talks, Big Ideas event series, an exchange of innovate projects and ideas between transportation thinkers and practitioners.
