DESCRIPTION:.NYU Wagner is pleased to launch a new cycle of
exhibitions at the Gallery Space at Wagner with
the opening of re:tratos urbanos (urban
portraits), our Spring-2023 show. Curated by
Frankie Crescioni-Santoni in commemoration of
Women’s History Month, it features artwork by
acclaimed Nuyorican painter and collage artist
Rodríguez Calero (affectionately known as
RoCa). .This two-decade survey exhibit
showcases RoCa’s signature acrollage and
fotacrolé techniques. These two innovative
processes fuse painting, printmaking, photography,
and collage to spellbinding effects.
