DESCRIPTION:The United Nations expects that within the next
two decades we need to plan, design and build new
homes for roughly 1.7 billion people. There is an
undeniable need for concepts and solutions that
lead to more sustainable urban growth, concepts
that work across a range of climates and cultures.
This symposium will look into what makes a city
resilient and sustainable in terms of design and
policy. We will start the event off with a keynote
speaker who will discuss what is urban resiliency
and why it's important to future planners,
designers, and policy makers.
