DESCRIPTION:Presented by Pan Asian Student Alliance (PASA)

In 2009, author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichi gave a TED
Talk titled “The Danger of a Single Story,”
highlighting the pitfalls of using only one
narrative to represent a group of people. Asian
Americans and Pacific Islanders know this struggle
all too well. Often nicknamed the “Model
Minority,” AAPIs often find themselves up
against this singular narrative while trying to
combat their own struggles of poverty, refugee
status, hate crimes, mental health, sexual
assault, and more.
