Wanted: Research Assistants

The NYU Rudin Center for Transportation seeks one continuing or incoming graduate student to work as a research assistant starting in September 2022.

These positions are open to students enrolled at NYU Wagner for the 2022-23 academic year.

The Rudin Center for Transportation at NYU’s Wagner School aims to strengthen our understanding of all modes of transportation through research, public forums, and educational programs. Current areas of focus include: autonomy and urbanism, sustainability, and transportation leadership.

RAs are responsible for assisting in background research, data analysis, writing, discussion moderation, and developing web content, depending on organizational needs.

Candidates do not need direct job experience, but should be interested in transportation in cities. RAs must work a minimum of 12 hours per week.



Interested applicants should exhibit at least 3 of these skills:

  • Knowledge of and/or experience in transportation planning
  • Research and writing
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders
  • Public speaking
  • Data analysis
  • Event planning and coordination
  • Mapping and spatial analytics
