How would you describe your experience as an NYU Wagner student?

My experience as an NYU Wagner student was tremendously valuable. Because of the combined NYU undergraduate-graduate dual degree program, I took a variety of courses – such as financial management and human resources – for a fraction of the cost. I also completed my credits through evening classes, which enabled me to design a schedule that worked for me.

How did your Wagner experience prepare you professionally for what you are doing today?

Wagner taught me how to communicate in every form and equipped me with the skills I needed to present ideas in a way that is easy for audiences to understand. As an alumnus of Sarah Kaufman’s Emerging Leaders in Transportation program, I also developed leadership skills and learned about policy from top transportation and management professionals. Through the connections I made during that program, I was also able to organize the installation of a piano at the Port Authority Bus Terminal to help make commutes more pleasant.

Have you found any advantages to being a part of the NYU Wagner alumni network?

Yes! Wagner carries weight and gets you in the door for jobs. When people hear I attended Wagner, they want to get to know me more meaningfully. From getting coffee with policymakers to crafting ideas that shape the future of New York, I have the opportunity to stay connected with an array of interesting people thanks to Wagner.
