How did you find your first post-Wagner job?

My first post-Wagner job was actually with my capstone client. The experience turned out to be mutually beneficial for both parties: the client had the opportunity to assess my organizational fit throughout the various stages of the project cycle and I got the chance to learn about an incredible organization I may never have come across on my own.

Describe your current job.

I’m currently the Assistant Director for Land is Life, a global coalition that works to safeguard the rights of indigenous peoples around the world. As a member of a very small staff my responsibilities range across traditional departments. Whether it’s managing the organization’s communications, writing grant proposals and reports, or coordinating our delegation of indigenous leaders to participate in United Nations meetings, our work aims to build lasting relationships through the continued support of grassroots indigenous leaders.

What are the advantages of the Wagner alumni network?

Some of the best advice I received after completing my degree was to remember that your Wagner community does not end with graduation but actually grows as you become part of the alumni network. This community has helped me continue to learn and grow through professional development opportunities and I will continue to count on it as my career develops.
