Despite years of research and practice, the inclusion of employees from marginalized groups remains elusive because the role of power tends to be overlooked; to feel included, they must have some power to make change. Employee resource groups (or affinity groups) based on social identities are one way for marginalized groups to build power within organizations. Join Professor Erica Foldy during this brown bag lunch session to explore the impact employee resource groups can have in the presence of senior leadership that holds the ultimate authority.
