Rudin Projection Guides
BEFORE THE MEETING
- Borrow needed supplies from the front desk on the 2nd Floor. (Available: presentation clicker.)

Locate the black touch panel on the wall adjacent to the Rudin South screen.

Touch the panel to start.

To use the Rudin Forum computer, select "Rack PC" as your source, and locate the keyboard and mouse to download and display your presentation.

To use your laptop, select the "Rudin South Wall Plate" as your source, and connect your device to the HDMI cable .

Select "Rudin South Projector" to display the screen and start the projector

Adjust the room volume using the touch panel, if necessary.
AFTER THE MEETING

Shut down the system. At the top right corner of the touch panel, tap the power button and when prompted to shut down, select “Yes.” The screens should retract and the projectors should shut off.

If using your own laptop, unplug your laptop and remember to take your items with you.

Return the devices taken from front desk, if any.
TROUBLESHOOTING
- If the laptop will not project, change the display settings to "Duplicate these Displays.
- On Windows 7:
-
Right click on any empty area on your desktop and click on Screen Resolution.

Click on the Multiple displays drop-down list and select "Duplicate these displays."

On Windows 10:
-
Right click on any empty area on your desktop and click on Display Settings.

Click on the Multiple displays drop-down list and select "Duplicate these displays."

On MAC OS:
-
Click on the Apple icon in the top left of the screen.

Click on System Preferences.
-
Click on Displays and then select Arrangement tab.

Check the "Mirror Displays" checkbox in the bottom left of the window

- On Windows 7:
- If the system does does not retract the screens and shut off the projector after shutting it down:
- Touch the touch panel to begin again.
- Select the power button and try shutting it down again.
Note : In the event of technical difficulties regarding the projector in Rudin, please email wagner.pcsupport@nyu.edu. For more time sensitive requests please visit Wagner IT.

Locate the podium. Enter the Rudin event space and locate the podium in the room.

Touch the panel to start . Tap the "Source Select" tab. Select the "Rudin East Projector" icon to start the Rudin East projector.

If the wall divider is not closed , and you will need the second projector, select "Murphy Projector" to start it. Note that the second projector is adjacent to the Rudin East Projector.

- Select the device that will be displaying your content:
- If you are using the in room PC, select "Rack PC" as your source.
- If you will be using your own laptop, find out if are in Rudin or Murphy.
- If you are in Rudin, select "Rudin East Podium" as your source. Connect your laptop to the nearby HDMI cable.
- Note: If the wall divider is closed , you are in Rudin. You should follow this instruction.
- If you are in Murphy, select "Murphy Podium" as your source. Connect your laptop to the nearby HDMI cable.
- If you are in Rudin, select "Rudin East Podium" as your source. Connect your laptop to the nearby HDMI cable.

Adjust the audio levels if you are having issues. Find and tap the audio control tab.

Tap the "Default Audio Level" button.

AFTER THE MEETING

Shut down the system. At the top right corner of the Touch Panel, tap the power button and when prompted to shut down, select “Yes”. The screens should retract and the projectors should shut off.

Microphone Use Instructions

Borrow the microphones from the front desk. (Available: Handheld microphones, lavalier microphones).

Unmute microphone. If the microphone light is red, it is muted. You need to press the button on the microphone to unmute it

If the microphone light is green, it is ready for use. You can press the button on the microphone to mute it.

Mute and return the microphone(s). Mute the microphone(s) (red light) and return it/them to the front desk.
