2018-2019 FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

Student Collaborative Research Grants

Research collaborations on new or existing research projects with Wagner master's-level students are encouraged. Projects will be funded for to up to 150 hours of student work each. The end product is a draft research paper intended for journal submission in lieu of a post-award report submitted via the Academic Affairs Portal due no later than September 15.

Eligibility: tenured, tenure-track, and full-time clinical faculty

Application: Online form; summary of project and student contribution: 1 paragraph on each

Application Deadlines: September 16 for Fall and Full Year proposals; December 2 for Spring.

Note: If you are interested in working with a student for the entire year, please apply for both semesters by the September 16 deadline (this can be done by checking the “Full Year” box on the form). In this case, hours must be distributed evenly over the year. Students may work up to 75 hours each semester, but cannot exceed 75 hours in either semester.  For example, 75 hours in Fall and 75 hours in Spring is allowable, but 100 hours in Fall and 50 in Spring is not.

New Research Support Grant

Grants of $5,000-$7,500 to fund a new research project (defined as producing at least one paper not on last year's annual report) are available. Grants can fund attendance at one major conference and other research-related expenses. A maximum of $750 for software and computer resources can be proposed.  The term of the grants will be September 1, 2018 – August 31, 2019 with end of award report (including at least one paper draft) due no later than September 15.

Eligibility: tenured and tenure track faculty. Preference will be given to proposals from assistant professors as well as proposals to use these awards as seeds for larger grants.
