Getting the Most from NYU Wagner

Students come to NYU Wagner from all walks of life and from across the U.S. and around the world, arriving with rich experiences in the public, nonprofit and private sectors and with backgrounds in nearly every academic discipline imaginable. In addition to their coursework, they all are looking for ways to connect with others, learn the ropes, find their groove and maximize their time while here.

Your time at NYU Wagner can be transformative, both professionally and personally. We're here to help you get everything you can from the experience. Whether in their first or last semester, students have many resources to help them navigate their way to graduation.

Who to Go to For What

New students should visit Getting Started for important information about course registration, resources guides and advice on how to get ready for a first semester at Wagner.

As current students proceed through their program, they should consult with a Student and Program Services administrator and their faculty advisor, while also seeking advisement from the Office of Career Services.

Wagner Experience Fund

NYU Wagner has a deep commitment to education outside the classroom. Experiencing the realities of working in the field of his or her choice can be a pivotal experience for a student and often makes the difference in attaining one's career goals.

To help make that important opportunity available to as many students as possible, Wagner has created the Wagner Experience Fund, an innovative program that provides financial support for students to take unpaid internships in their field.
