New York University’s Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and the Skirball Department of Hebrew and Judaic Studies have collaborated on the development of a program that offers a comprehensive educational experience, combining Judaic studies and nonprofit management and policy.
Based at New York University – located in the heart of New York City and the center of America’s major Jewish communal institutions – this unique program affords students excellent training in management, finance, and policy from the Wagner School and study of the Jewish past and present at the Skirball Department, one of the largest and finest Judaic studies programs in North America.
Students completing this program will receive a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from the Wagner Graduate School and a Master of Arts (MA) in Hebrew and Judaic Studies from the Graduate School of Arts and Science. Students can expect to complete their degrees in 2 ½ - 3 years, attending full time.
Graduates will be prepared to assume leadership positions within agencies throughout the American Jewish community, including Federations, Jewish Community Centers, Hillel, private Jewish foundations and other Jewish communal organizations. Our alumni are now working in such positions as:
