Admissions and Requirements
ADMISSIONS
Admission is selective and based on the applicant's prior academic record and professional achievements. Advanced Certificate candidates are not eligible for scholarship. For more information, please contact wagner.admissions@nyu.edu.
Due to constraints relevant to US immigration regulations, applicants who will need an F-1 or J-1 student visa are not eligible to apply to certificate programs.
Students currently enrolled in a Wagner degree program cannot be admitted to nor simultaneously enrolled in a Wagner Advanced Certificate program.
ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS
Students must complete 12 or 15 credits. The Advanced Certificates require specific coursework and one core/foundational course may count toward the Advanced Certificate program. Students who need to complete more than one foundational course may take the courses in addition to the certificate requirements. Students who have acquired knowledge of the subject matter of any of the foundational courses prior to enrolling are encouraged to pursue course waivers. In some instances, a student can take a waiver exam to waive a course. Read more about our specific course waiver policies.
Candidates must maintain an average of a B (3.0) or better in course work and meet other relevant requirements applicable to NYU Wagner students.
TUITION AND FEES
The Advanced Professional Certificate is a pay-per-credit program. Students must complete 12 or 15 credits, as required, to complete the program. Read more about tuition and costs.
