Are you are committed to making changes in your community and finding new ways to approach tough social issues? Have you taken on leadership roles in your university and want to build your skills to effectively spearhead projects, lead teams and have a lasting impact?

The Global Social Change Leadership Institute offers an opportunity for university and graduate students and recent college graduates to strengthen their leadership ability and skills, learn about cutting-edge research on leadership and social change, and see firsthand what makes organizations at the forefront of advancing social justice successful. 

You will emerge with a plan for taking action in your own school or community, a network of other committed advocates to call on, and incredible experiences of the dynamic and diverse arts, culture, food and history for which New York City is famous!

An In-Depth Curriculum that Integrates Theory and Practice

The intensive two-week program  includes interactive workshops; presentations by experts in nonprofit management, community organizing, and advocacy; and site visits to organizations, cultural sites and landmarks across New York City.

From the United Nations to Ellis Island, Harlem to Wall Street, New York City is a world-class laboratory for learning about leadership and public service. Institute workshops are held at NYU Wagner in the historic Puck Building, and participants stay in NYU dormitories with ready access to the sights of the city.
