Where do you work? Describe your current job and how your role contributes to making an impact.
I work for Bloomberg Philanthropies as an Innovation Program Officer with the Government Innovation team. Through philanthropy, my role supports cities around the world in building innovation skills and lasting problem solving capacity to measurably improve lives.
Why did you choose NYU Wagner for graduate school?
After participating in NYU's Fellowship for Emerging Leaders in Public Service in 2014, I was drawn to the school's world class professors and the flexible schedule of the Executive MPA program for Public Service Leaders. I was able to work full time and attend classes on the weekend, which was invaluable as a new parent.

What skills did you develop at NYU Wagner that are most helpful to you in your current work?
I learned performance measurement and management which has been most helpful in helping me succeed as a program manager responsible for the success of several large scale initiatives.
How did your experiences at NYU Wagner prepare you for your career?
My experiences at NYU Wagner gave me a deeper understanding of the history of philanthropy in the U.S., it made me more disciplined with my time management, and also put me on a path for a promotion on my team after graduating.
