This high-level event will spotlight proven partnerships and innovative financing that are scaling climate, biodiversity, and blue economy solutions across Small Island Developing States—also known as Large Ocean States. The conversation will move beyond ideas to highlight real-world outcomes from initiatives in the Caribbean and Pacific, including Indigenous- and community-led efforts. Speakers will share lessons from successful and upcoming collaborations, that leverage and deploy much needed financing for cross-cutting and measurable impact in Large Ocean States. Framed around the ocean–climate–biodiversity nexus, the event will showcase how meaningful investment into SIDS can deliver globally significant results for people, nature, and the global climate. A reception will follow from 6:00PM–7:00 PM.

This event is open to NYU students, staff, faculty and members of the broader community. Registration is required. Non-NYU guests will need to present a valid ID for building entry
