[Due to the evolving health concerns around COVID-19, NYU announced that all non-essential large group events are to be canceled/postponed. We will be canceling/postponing this event, [optional add if postponing] but we will be working with the speakers to reschedule. Thank you in advance for your understanding.]

Join ALAS as they host a diverse panel to discuss some of the challenges to such a massive mobilization effort and ways in which this year’s distribution of the survey, as well as social media efforts, are changing how the government achieves this accurate count.

A full and accurate count of every resident in the country is essential for appropriate federal funding and electoral representation. Given the political controversies that have surrounded this year’s census, from the citizenship question to budget concerns, the importance of an accurate count cannot be understated.
