We plan on inviting panelists to discuss with students and others how Latinx and other communities of color in the US are being affected by climate change and resiliency planning. Examples of particular issues to discuss include the aftermath of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, how Latinx communities in CA/the west coast have dealt with the fires, droughts, and other climate issues there, resiliency planning in communities of color in NYC, and "disaster capitalism."
