Co-sponsored by Alliance for Climate Change and the Environment and The Association of Latinx Students in Public Service

5:30pm - 7:00pm
October 11, 2019
5:30pm - 7:00pm
The Puck Building - 295 Lafayette Street, Rice Conference Room & Newman Reception Area, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10012

We plan on inviting panelists to discuss with students and others how Latinx and other communities of color in the US are being affected by climate change and resiliency planning. Examples of particular issues to discuss include the aftermath of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, how Latinx communities in CA/the west coast have dealt with the fires, droughts, and other climate issues there, resiliency planning in communities of color in NYC, and "disaster capitalism."
