Ever wonder how a piece of public policy really comes together? Join WWC on Friday, April 20 for a legislative policy workshop featuring New York State Assemblywoman Nily Rozic, Chair of the Assembly Task Force on Women’s Issues, and Sarah Ziff, Founding Director of the Model Alliance. As the public conversation on sexual harassment in the workplace continues across the nation, Rozic has teamed up with the Model Alliance to advance state legislation that would provide models with new protections against sexual and other forms of harassment in the industry. Rozic and Ziff will give an overview of how their partnership began and the necessary legislative advocacy and procedural processes they continue to engage in for this bill. Following this discussion, we will facilitate an interactive workshop on policy formation and advocacy, tracing a bill’s journey from an idea to a law.
