EdTech @Wagner Workshop—Teaching Tips for Using ZOOM (NYU Video Conferencing Software)
EdTech @Wagner Workshop—Teaching Tips for Using Zoom
Please join the Wagner Academic Programs team for our first EdTech @Wagner workshop of the semester on Thursday, March 14, from 1:00 - 2:15 pm. Henrie Paz-Amor, Instructional Technologist, will lead a session on "Teaching Tips Using ZOOM" in the Mulberry Conference room at the Puck Building. ZOOM is the video conferencing platform being used for the synchronous components of Wagner's new online MHA program.
In this workshop, Henrie will provide an overview of ZOOM features and demonstrate the look and feel of ZOOM. Join us as we discuss ways of using ZOOM, whether as a virtual classroom, for holding office hours, or hosting a guest lecturer remotely, and go over technical details such as how to request a ZOOM account, scheduling and inviting participants, and hosting a meeting. If you are already familiar with ZOOM, bring any advanced questions about utilizing the platform's various tools such as setting up break out rooms for small group activities, using the whiteboard, and sharing presentations/your screen.
This workshop is intended for faculty, teaching assistants, and course site administrators who are interested in the ways to use ZOOM for remote meetings and want to learn more. Please bring your laptop and headphones if you would like to practice as we move through the workshop.
This workshop will also be available remotely by ZOOM, so join us in person or from your computer if you can't make it to the Puck Building. If joining remotely, please RSVP to receive the link to the workshop session in a follow-up email message.
Lunch will be provided—please RSVP for an accurate headcount. We hope to see you there!
