Exploring Community Organizing and Grassroots Movement-Building in Philanthropy
Today, communities across the country are doing the hard, patient work of mobilizing citizens and building political will to affect change. Through local organizing and grassroots campaigning, and with the right support, groups can build the capacity for sustained impact.
Join grassroots organizers, advocates, nonprofit leaders, and program officers for a moderated discussion on how philanthropy can help build a strong infrastructure on the ground for transformative policy change.
The event will be moderated by Rev. Noelle Damico, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Public Service at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and Senior Fellow at the National Economic and Social Rights Initiative.
Panelists:

- Armando Moritz-Chapelliquen, Director of Capacity-Building, Association for Neighborhood & Housing Development (ANHD)
- Amy Chou, Program Officer, Brooklyn Community Foundation
Snacks and light refreshments will be provided.
