Governors Island is one of New York's new public open space in the harbor. New and returning Wagner students will spend a day learning about Governors Island's redevelopment. UPSA will host a picnic at Nolan Park before joining the walking tour hosted by The Friends of Governors Island. After the walking tour, there are opportunities to learn more about the island's arts and cultural programming, green infrastructure, environmental stewardship, and economic development initiatives.

Students must register to attend. We will take the 11am ferry from Manhattan’s Battery Maritime Building (10 South Street) to Governors Island's Soissons Landing and walk to Nolan Park.
