The month of November marks the anniversary of the 2016 federal elections; these elections led to an administration that consistently targets the reproductive rights of the American people.

Join the Wagner Women’s Caucus and a representative from the National Institute for Reproductive Health to learn more about current barriers to abortion access at our first education and advocacy event of the year. We will discuss the Hyde Amendment, which bans federal funding for abortion except in cases of rape, incest, and life endangerment. Come learn about this important reproductive justice issue and current legislative efforts to reverse it. After a brief presentation, guests will have the opportunity to write letters to local representatives urging them to support legislation to reverse the Hyde Amendment. Letter-writing materials, light food, and refreshments will be provided!
