From rising sea levels and increased droughts, to more intense wildfires and stronger storms, the impacts of climate change are threatening cities across the globe. Join us for a discussion with Matthew Kahn, one of the leading scholars on global environmental challenges. Kahn will expand upon this defining issue of the 21st century and discuss public policies that aim to address climate change.

FEATURING:

Matthew Kahn is a Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Economics and Business at Johns Hopkins University (JHU) and the Director of JHU's 21st Century Cities Initiative. He is one of the leading scholars on environmental challenges facing cities around the world. He is the author of Green Cities: Urban Growth and the Environment, Climatopolis, and Blue Skies over Beijing: Economic Growth and the Environment in China.
