How to Make AI Work for Workers
As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to evolve and policymakers struggle to stay ahead of its wide-ranging effects, it is critical that workers’ concerns are not overlooked in the development of AI policy.
Join The Century Foundation and NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service on Tuesday, April 9, from 3:30 to 4:30 PM ET, for a conversation focused on the workplace impacts of AI and how to best protect workers from its downsides while ensuring workers benefit as much as possible from AI’s promises of increased productivity.
This panel discussion will explore issues such as: the extent to which AI threatens jobs and presents new career opportunities; how AI might affect job quality and whether new labor standards are needed; how to cover the social costs of displacement; and the implications for workers’ rights when employers use AI to collect data on, manage, or evaluate workers.
