The 2019 Summit is a space for discussion between a variety of experts and the NYU community on the influence of tech throughout the process of delivering development assistance services. Experts and practitioners will explore this topic through themes such as service delivery, impact, and innovation in an engaging cross-sector panel discussion and interactive tech expo.  

Given the importance of technology in the digital age, this conversation is both timely and relevant to contribute to the discussions on the consequences of tech in international development as well as understand the appropriate role of the public and private sectors. There will also be allocated time for networking opportunities with other experts and graduate students.

Summit Goals:

  1. Provide a platform for conversation on the consequences and relevance of tech in delivery of development assistance services;

  2. Understand the public and private role in design, creation, and implementation of tech; and

  3. Engage with current and upcoming tech products geared toward improving quality of life.

Attendees, both experts and students alike, will be introduced to potential solutions to implement tangible next steps in overcoming complex development challenges facing our world today.
