Leonor Zalabata, a leader from the Arhuaco Nation (Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta) and human rights defender, is the new Colombian Ambassador before the United Nations. In this event, Ambassador Zalabata will reflect on her trajectory as a leader, the transformation of Colombian politics by the inclusion of Indigenous representatives in different government agencies, and the project of building international relationships from an Indigenous perspective. Join the Colombian Studies Group - NYU Charter on the first event of Spring 2023.
