LGBTQIA+ adults are twice as likely to experience homelessness compared to the general population, with queer youth representing 40% of the homeless youth population. Against the challenging backdrop of anti-trans legislation and an ongoing housing crisis, this panel aims to delve into the impact on queer individuals and explore community efforts to mitigate housing instability.

Hosted by the Stonewall Policy Alliance and Urban Planning Student Association, this panel will feature experts from social housing groups, national policy organizations, academia, and nonprofit developers. The event will be hosted online, and a recording will be available.

After the panel, participants are welcome to join us for an optional happy hour at Half Pint. There will be no drink tickets; this will be a community event to discuss the panel and an opportunity to donate to groups that support queer youth experiencing homelessness.
