No money, no mission. That’s reality in the nonprofit sector. If you think you might ever work for or with a nonprofit, anywhere from programs coordinator to executive director to esteemed board member, it’s crucial to be comfortable and confident raising funds to advance your organization’s cause.

That’s why WAPA is partnering with Movember, an organization that funds men's health projects around the world relating to prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention. But Movember is not only for men, it’s for all genders. Everyone has a man in their life that they care about and want to keep around longer. Movember's goal is to help them live happier, healthier, longer lives. It’s more than a meaningful cause and fun excuse to grow unsightly facial hair — it’s also a chance for Wagner students of all specializations and walks of life to discover how rewarding (and straightforward) fundraising really is.

“But I’m uncomfortable asking people for money,” you say. Good news! At our kickoff event, we’ll share fundraising techniques and tactics that will take the pressure off you and the people you reach out to. "But I can't or don't want to grow a mustache," you say. Good news! At our kickoff event, we'll talk about the other ways the Wagner community can participate in Wagner's Movember drive.
