POSTPONED Bay Area Alumni Day of Service
Join the NYU Wagner Bay Area Alumni Network for a special "WagnerCares" service project with GLIDE. GLIDE reaches those most in need, providing food, housing assistance, healthcare, and family services. We meet basic needs, stabilize lives, create pathways out of poverty, and work for systemic change. Our work is grounded in our values of radical inclusivity, unconditional love, truth telling, and celebration. We work on the front lines of poverty, look everyone in the eye, turn no one away, and transform lives.
In addition to serving daily hot meals in our dining room, GLIDE’s Daily Free Meals Program also prepares and distributes bag lunches and dinners for community members who may not be able to make it to our meal times. Volunteers will help assemble sandwiches and bag them up with other goodies like fruits, vegetables and snacks.
Following the volunteer shift, NYU Wagner alum Lauren Bernstein will give a tour of GLIDE's programs (11AM), and then we'll go out for a group lunch.
