The Wagner International Student Society (WISS) and Alliance for Climate Change and Environment (ACE) present: A Public Lecture on Indonesia’s Experience in Promoting Sustainable Fisheries and Combating Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated (IUU) Fishing. Indonesia’s Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Susi Pudjiastuti will be delivering a lecture on Indonesia's reformation of the fisheries sector through sustainable fisheries policies. The lecture will also showcase Minister Susi’s important role in the closing of foreign investment for capture-fisheries sector, amid political moves to open many business sectors for foreign investments. Minister Susi has been globally acknowledged as one of the leaders in the fight against IUU fishing. Her policies have been acknowledged by international communities as important policies which can be adopted by many countries in order to strive towards sustainable fisheries management.
