PrivateThe word “philanthropy” has come to be a bit contentious in some circles. It has been used almost solely to represent the generous giving of large sums of money, especially from millionaires and billionaires, and is often associated with a sense of elitism.
Is Philanthropy an outdated word or should organizations reclaim it as their own? Join this student-led workshop as we discuss why the simple word “philanthropy” leaves many of us wishing for a better word.
