Federal policy requires special education services to include planning and preparing adolescents and young adults to meet their individualized goals as they move into adulthood. Post-school outcomes, however, illustrate that success in post-secondary education, employment, and community engagement vary across groups of young adults with disabilities.
This presentation, facilitated by NYU Steinhardt professor Audrey Trainor, will focus on tools of critical studies and the culture of practice to outline a new agenda for transition research and practice. The presentation will be followed by Q&A.
