Please join ALAS for an intimate conversation with consultant and lawyer Graciano Gaillard. Gaillard has provided his legal and administrative expertise to the United Nations (UN). He also has relevant experience dealing with Latin America as a UN employee, particularly with the former Ambassador of the Dominican Republic. During his talk, he will describe the lateral sequence of power that goes into decision making between international governing bodies and Latin American countries, as well as how the relationship differs with the UN and Latin America compared to countries in other diasporas. Example topics will include the Iran-Contra Scandal, Cuba Relations and more.
