A Taste of Latinx Professionals
ALAS is hosting a series of events featuring Latinx professionals who will engage the NYU community on their areas of expertise, how that experience is for them as Latinx and how their work affects society in as a whole as well as the Latinx population specifically.
Dominican-born lawyer and consultant Graciano Gaillard will present his findings on the United Nations and their relationship with Latin America to the NYU community. Graciano has worked as a lawyer for the United Nations and written extensively on his research and experience at the almost century-old organization. The goal of this event is to provide clarity as to the current position of this relationship, as well as create an open door of knowledge for our students who plan on working for the U.N., Latin America or just have a general interest. With over 10 years of experience in consulting and diplomatic intelligence services, Graciano will speak on U.S. policy towards Latin America and the Caribbean, U.N. structure and more.
