As part of our ongoing commitment for the NYU community to engage as political activists, we invite you to a virtual Town Hall for VOTE 2020 featuring Congressional Representative Nita Lowey; Javier Valdes (WAG ‘04), Co-Executive Director of Make the Road; and Ron Christie, former White House Special Assistant and NYU Adjunct Professor.

The coronavirus pandemic has altered the terrain of the 2020 Election and has raised the stakes of its outcome. While citizens are mobilizing to mitigate the effects of the pandemic and economic crisis, it's important to ensure the safe and universal exercise of the right to vote. Citizen input and participation in shaping both sets of policies—responding to the pandemic and defending democratic institutions—are complementary and will be addressed by our panel of speakers.
