Join us for an engaging fireside chat exploring the ripple effects of the federal government shutdown on the healthcare sector, with a focus on academic medical centers and teaching hospitals.

As funding uncertainty disrupts research, reimbursement flows, and regulatory oversight, academic medical centers face mounting pressure to sustain their missions of patient care, education, and innovation. Our discussion will unpack how the shutdown affects clinical operations, NIH-funded research, safety-net services, and workforce stability — and what strategies leaders are using to navigate this period of fiscal and operational strain.

This event is for NYU students, alumni, faculty, and staff only. Attendees must register with an NYU address.
