Presented by Wagner Policy Alliance

Join us as we host Professor Rachel Swaner to discuss her work on an evaluation of the Red Hook Community Justice Center. This presentation will highlight key methods and findings of an evaluation of the Red Hook Community Justice Center, an unconventional community court in Brooklyn that emphasizes alternatives to incarceration. This was a multi-method investigation into the impact of the Justice Center on crime and incarceration, and the mechanisms by which it produces these impacts. We will focus on three components of the evaluation: the process evaluation, an ethnographic analysis, and a quasi-experimental evaluation of sanctioning and recidivism outcomes. Snacks will be provided!
