Blair William is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Health Administration at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. Originally from Trinidad & Tobago, Mr. William has over 20 years of experience in the fields of finance and accounting. He commenced his career in the United States at PricewaterhouseCoopers’ South Florida practice, then spent several years working for Harsco Corporation, a publicly-traded company headquartered in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. While at Harsco, Blair held various accounting and finance roles, ultimately becoming a Division Controller, supporting operations in Africa, Europe, North America and South America.
Blair joined The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in May 2009, working four years as the Controller of the International and Commercial Services Division and another 5½ years as the Corporate Director, Financial Compliance. In October 2018, Blair assumed the role of Corporate Controller at AllianceRx Walgreens Prime, a Walgreens specialty pharmacy subsidiary, leading their Accounting and Payroll operations. Additionally, Blair was an Adjunct Accounting Faculty at Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania for seven years (2011-2018), instructing at the undergraduate and graduate level. Blair earned his Bachelor’s in Accounting (First Class Honors) from the University of the West Indies and his Master’s of Accounting from the University of Florida. He is a Florida-licensed Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Fraud Examiner. Blair is married with three children.
