Chris Echeverria

Chris Echeverria is a Government Affairs professional at New York University with over a decade of experience in public policy. Chris coordinates the university’s relationships and interests with policymakers at the state and city level. His areas of expertise include higher education policy, science and tech, sustainability, AI, economic development, and increasing voter access. With experience in direct lobbying, advocacy, and relationship building with policymakers, Chris has successfully secured millions of dollars in government contracts for the university, including money for NYU Tandon’s Makerspace and Clean Room, 370 Jay Street’s Motion Capture studio, and the Clive Davis Institute’s recording studio. Chris is proficient in navigating the multifaceted policy process; whether that is coalition building, developing strategic communication, or political advising.

Chris received his Masters of Public Administration at NYU Wagner, specializing in the Public Policy Analysis track, which emphasizes analytical skills and frameworks to design and assess policy responses to important public issues. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Rutgers University.
