Christopher Manning

Chris Manning is a highly accomplished executive with extensive experience in public affairs, government relations, and community impact within the real estate and healthcare sectors. His dedication to public service and strategic relationship-building have made him a respected leader in both the public and private sectors.

Chris currently serves as Senior Executive Advisor to the Delaware Valley President for Nemours Children’s Health, one of the nation’s largest multistate pediatric health systems. In this capacity, Chris supports and executes on a wide variety of strategic projects on behalf of the President and coordinates all functions of the Executive Leadership Team and Executive Cabinet.

Prior to rejoining Nemours, Chris served as Vice President for Public Affairs at Fairstead, a New York City-based affordable housing developer with over 25,000 units across 28 states. In this role, he oversaw government, community, and media relations, focusing on enhancing the firm’s corporate reputation, establishing strategic partnerships, and supporting the company’s development and management priorities.

Before joining Fairstead, Chris spent over a decade at Nemours Children’s Health, where he helped enhance Nemours’ visibility and influence through several leadership roles including Director of Delaware Valley External Affairs, Director of Delaware Valley Government Relations, and Senior Manager for Public & Community Relations. He also played a key role in the organization’s COVID-19 response.

Chris has over 25 years of experience in public health and government roles. At the Delaware Health Information Network, as Director of External Affairs he significantly increased physician practice adoption of the health information exchange. In New York City, he advised senior officials on health, housing, and economic development policy at the Mayor’s Office of City Legislative Affairs and as Assistant Commissioner for Intergovernmental Affairs at the NYC Health Department. His career began with the American Heart Association’s PA/DE Affiliate managing health education and public advocacy campaigns.

Chris holds a Master of Public Administration from NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. A native Delawarean, he lives with his wife and two children in Chester County, PA, and is active in numerous school and civic organizations.
