Conor Bohan is Executive Director of HELP, Haiti’s largest college scholarship program, which he started with $30 shortly after he arrived in Haiti in 1996. HELP has grown from a single student to the largest university scholarship program in Haiti. Several Haitian high schools and colleges have adopted key administrative and programmatic elements of HELP.
Prior to working for HELP, Conor was a line-cook, house painter, restoration carpenter, volunteer teacher, Deputy Director of the National Democratic Institute in Haiti, and Director of Haiti Programs for the American Institutes for Research. Conor is a Fellow of Ashoka, and the RSA. He has a B.A. in History from Brown University. In his free time Conor enjoys all things outside including skiing, sailing & cycling
