Daniel Mangrum is a research economist within the Household and Public Policy Research Division at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. His research interests include Consumer Finance, Labor Economics, and Education Economics. His current research focuses on understanding how policy affects the financial and labor market decisions of households such as investments in education, debt accumulation and repayment, and the effectiveness of financial education. He also studies topics in urban traffic congestion with a focus on the New York City metro area. Daniel received his Ph.D. in Economics from Vanderbilt University in June 2020.
