Dan has spent his 30+ year career at the intersection of branding, business strategy, and strategic marketing and communications.  Dan began his career in academic medicine, working in strategy, growth/business development, and program management at Rush University Medical Center and Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. He then spent 20 years leading teams in strategic marketing communications and advertising at a boutique consultancy/ad agency, including the last 10 years as the agency’s Chief Strategy Officer.  In those roles we were responsible for crafting growth and market strategies and campaigns for hospitals, multi-state health systems, professional organizations (e.g., University HealthSystems Consortium, the Association of American Medical Colleges), and medical device and healthcare technology companies.  Dan has led brand strategy through health system mergers, acquisitions, expansions, and repositionings.  In all, he's supported more than 100 healthcare organizations in nearly all 48 contiguous states.  Additionally, Dan served six years on the Advisory Board of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development of the American Hospital Association.

Presently Dan is developing a digital health and wellness platform with an emphasis on food, nutrition, diet, and lifestyle to simplify people’s journeys in pursuit of their health goals
